Ingredients
Nellikai ( gooseberry ) : 1 litre
Fenugreek : 2 tbsp
Asafoetida : a small piece
Oil : 100 ml
Curry leaves : little
Salt : as needed
Red chilli : 75 gm
Turmeric powder : 1 spoon
Mustard : 2 spoon
Method of preparation
Wash nellikai ( gooseberry ), remove the seeds and cut into pieces.
Power chilli.
Heat a spoon of oil in the frying pan.
Add asafoetida, fenugreek and fry till golden .
Powder fenugreek and asafoetida.
Heat 50 ml oil in a frying pan.
Add mustard and when it splutters, add nellikai pieces.
Add chilli power, salt, and stir well.
When the nellikai is halfcooked, add oil and stir well.
When the nellikai is cooked soft, remove the pan from the stove.
