Ginger Amla Churna (Amalaki Powder)

This  is a lovely digestive recipe for making at home. It helps in digestion/lack of hunger in children/sore throats & is a natural stomach cleanser. It is one of those home remedies from Indian herbs which is a helpful digestive medicine. One can keep the gooseberry powder for all the time.

Ingredients for Churna:

  • 1 kg fresh green amalas
  • 1/2 kg normal ginger/or yellow ginger
  • 300 gms sugar
  • 150 gms powdered sugar

Method of Preparing Churna:

  • Wash  both the ginger & amala thoroughly in clean water.
  • Crush both in a grinder seperately.
  • Add 1/2 kg of sugar & thoroghly mix on a big plate.
  • Put the plate to dry in intense sun for about a week to 15 days. By then it will turn brown in colour.
  • Store in  an airt-ight jar & sprinkle powdered sugar on top & shake well.
  • When drying in sun shake & mix the mixture at least 2 times a day.
  • Avoid dusty- places,or cover wz a fine thin muslin cloth before putting to dry!

How to use the amla churna?

Enjoy these 2 pinches of churan 4 times a day  (before your  morning & evening meals ) & be healthy & constipation free !!!!
